Saudi Arabia 2006

Sunday, November 26, 2006

Before this trip to the KSA I must admit that I have never eaten a date. Dates have been absolutely EVERYWHERE we've gone. They are part of the hospitality of Saudi Arabians, and I've got to tell you that I really have acquired a taste for them now! Even though I've seen a million date palms throughout this trip, I hadn't actually seen any growing until today!

Lol about the figs.
I still love the olive selection from early on.

I was following the comments on my "main" SaudiJeans blog and the locals were discussing where to get the best pastries of a certain type. Seems this pastry that they love was a big trip to a smaller town.
I know the feeling when ever we have to be in Portland for CP clinic I hit China town to get my peking duck to go.
